Pod Game Day is time for students to connect with each other across the building, forging or rekindling relationships with people beyond their classroom. Our teachers teach, facilitate the games, and play along!

🎤 Nathaniel, a Wildcat at Elmwood Academy, showcased his leadership and communication skills on the morning announcements yesterday… and he’s not stopping there!

🍋 This afternoon, you can find him running a lemonade stand from 12–3 p.m. at the Upper Allen JoJo’s parking lot—all to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Way to use your voice and your heart to make a difference, Wildcat! 💛

📸 Thank you to Assistant Principal Keith Shively for capturing our Wildcat in action.

👏 Every day is the perfect day to celebrate our amazing Instructional Assistants—like this Dream Team at Elmwood Academy and so many more shining stars across the district. Your care, creativity, and commitment make a difference in countless ways. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

📸 Special thanks to Anne Yohn for sharing this photo.

We love having our local legislators come to Elmwood and read to our students. Today, Representative Thomas Kutz joins Mrs. Bull's 4th grade class to read a book and explain his role in serving our community.

The milkweed out front is a perfect spot for our caterpillars' metamorphic stages. It was planted by a former Elmwood student and parent a few years ago. The change happening before our eyes is symbolic of the growth happening in our building as we try to stretch our students as critical and creative thinkers!

Last week, our staff trained our students in knowing "The Wildcat Way," specific to Elmwood Academy. Pictured here, our teachers led a game of Family Feud with the students to teach expectations for the hallway and restroom. Our students are doing a great job demonstrating this around our school!

🛝 The jungle gyms are still. The slides are quiet. And we can't help but miss the laughter, energy, and smiles that fill our playgrounds throughout the school year. We are so excited to soon welcome back our Wildcats - it's not the same without you! 🐾

Our first day of school is August 19, 2025, with a staggered start for our K-3 Wildcats. Don't forget to check out our Back to School Resource Center for answers to many of your questions as you prep for the first day of school: www.mbgsd.org/BTS.
