Elmwood Academy serves as the learning community for all of Mechanicsburg Area School District's 4th and 5th grade students.  Originally built as the district's high school, the building opened as a school for 4th and 5th grades in Fall 2018.  The building previously was home to the Mechanicsburg Area Intermediate School as well as Elmwood Elementary School and District Administrative Offices.
